Our road into barbecue has been fast, furious and surprisingly filled with many blessings. Our recipes and style of cooking are influenced and inspired, not only by our West Texas culture, but also by our family history. One of the things you might find special about us is the fact that our cuisine represents who we are and where we come from. Since barbecue for us is a passion and something we love doing, we are constantly trying to make it better day after day, cook after cook. From being raised in a ranching family, to raising beef cattle for show, to coming from a long line of great family cook's, our knowledge base has all the ingredients for what defines true western flavor.
In the Fall of 2007 we competed in our very first barbecue competition in Bakersfield, TX. That particular contest was a Texas National Brisket Championship. We took 7th in Chicken, 9th in Ribs, and wound up getting 7th place in Brisket. Since then we have amassed 34 more top 10 honors and awards in only 21 different contests. Without the help, support, and taste-buds of our family and friends we would not be where we are today. Much of our success can be contributed to our many barbecue friends whom we have met on the circuit, but none more deserving than the friends we have made at the NBBQA conferences. Their knowledge, encouragement, support, advise, council and friendship have meant more to us than they will ever know.
